« An experience to live as a family. A must visit!  »

It is almost a dive in the middle of nature that NILS-UDO offers us at the EDF Group Foundation. A true icon of the Art in Nature movement for nearly forty years, NILS-UDO interacts with the landscape without ever violating it. He displays in the heart of nature, and with all his materials, a sculptural work in situ that is ephemeral, grappling with the infinite and minute modulations of the landscape and the rhythm of the seasons. Designed especially for the Foundation, Black Bamboo is one of the artist's rare installations created for interior spaces. It shows the visitor in the dark, allowing him to concentrate his gaze on the "brood" placed in the centre of the space. This "brood", the only one lit, is surrounded and protected by a bamboo forest. It is one of his favourite themes that he uses here. The nest refers to birth, vulnerability. Black Bamboo imagines itself as one of the last shelters against the destruction of nature and puts us on alert to this fragility.
