Saint-Ouen L'Aumône
Maubuisson Abbey
25 Apr → 29 Aug 2021
Monday to Friday, 8.15 am to 6 pm
For this exhibition, 60 of the 1000 films that make up the fine collection of the Centre national des arts plastiques have been selected. Whether they deal with exile, resistance, utopias, origins or conflicts, current issues are at the heart of this project which questions the contemporary world. In the end, this exhibition reflects the diversity of our society: different generations, different origins, different geographical areas filmed are the witnesses of the heterogeneity of the Cnap collection. The exhibition is divided into five parts, arranged on the five stages of the Abbaye de Maubuisson. Each stage is accompanied by an episode of "Hors-Champ" by the art historian Hugo Martin, as well as a special projection. If these installations are in situ, it is also possible to see the video extracts online and to contact the abbey's mediators by telephone for more information!
