Jean-Pierre Blanc's vocation has always been to promote young creation in the field of design and fashion. This is why in 2006 he founded the Design Parade Hyères, which he has been running ever since. Presided over by Pascale Mussard, it is both a competition presenting a dozen emerging talents to the general public and professionals every year, and a festival, a moment of sharing, meeting and exchange. Created ten years later, the Toulon Design Parade has the same objectives, this time focusing on interior design. Every summer since then, the Villa Noailles has organised the competition-festival, the first of its kind in France, in Hyères and Toulon. Through a mainly outdoor tour, discover the latest contemporary design creations while exploring the rich architectural heritage of the Var. For example, the designs of Alexander Benjamin Navet, winner in 2017, cover the façade of the Hôtel des Arts in Toulon. This year, it is the 15th edition of the Hyères festival, celebrated with the designer Constance Guisset. The young festival in Toulon is celebrating its fifth anniversary by inviting Karl Fournier and Olivier Marty, two architects from Studio KO. In 2019, a multi-year agreement was signed between the Centre Pompidou and the city of Toulon to exhibit the national design collections in the Mediterranean city. This year, it is with the Futirissimo exhibition that these collections will be presented, curated by Marie-Ange Brayer and in a scenography by Jean-Baptiste Fastrez (winner of Design Parade Hyères in 2011).
