For three years now, the "Les Extatiques" exhibition has become the unmissable event of the year for many artists, art lovers, employees, tourists, students and residents. The project is part of the "renaissance" of the Paris La Défense district through the greening and creation of new parks, and the "biodiversity island" of La Seine Musicale. The artistic installations will express this "flowering", this blossoming of the sites. The artistic itinerary is original, and is spread over two sections - the first on the Esplanade de La Défense and the second in the gardens of La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt - and is an invitation to discover new works in an architectural setting. For its 4th edition, the exhibition returns with a selection of works of art, some created especially for the event, leading you to ecstasy... because this year's theme is indeed "Ecstasy". Thus, Les Extatiques is a meeting place for venturing, step by step, to discover works of art that challenge your senses, transform your vision of reality, of everyday life, change your perspectives and lead you to look at places differently. Improbable works of art that "break the codes", that play with time and scale, and transform the mineral landscape of La Défense for a confounding walk where the freedom to look, to be enthusiastic or to criticize is de rigueur. We particularly like the floating, melting worlds of the German artist Luka Fineisen and the oversized desk of Lilian Bourgeat, a playful and offbeat work.
