« A committed exhibition that opens up a forest of possibilities!  »

After "Matière Grise" (Pavillon de l'Arsenal, 2014) and "Lieux infinis" (Biennale d'Architecture de Venise, 2018), Encore Heureux, the architecture agency like no other, is offering its third installment on building a fairer world. Entitled "Energies Despair", the exhibition presents worlds that are collapsing and others that are being rebuilt and repaired collectively. Architects, scenographers, curators, designers and filmmakers, Julien Choppin and Nicola Delon, the founders of the agency, know no limits to their practices, especially since they have been developing certain projects in , and it is undoubtedly this transversal posture that allows them to move the lines. The result of a collaborative effort between the architecture firm, the Anthropocene research section of the Lyon Urban School and the artist Bonnefrite, the exhibition is a forest of 120 painted posters. The 60 paintings of despair in black and white are matched by 60 paintings of energy in colour, arranged back to back, exploring two sides of our planet in movement. Each poster is accompanied by scientific data on the Anthropocene, this new era in which human activity on Earth is understood as a force acting irreversibly on the entire planet, or by repair initiatives on different scales. An exhibition that is as much factual as it is sensitive, allowing us to break out of the paralysis of facts thanks to the creative energy transmitted by the drawing.
