A complete international artist (photographer, painter, sculptor and architect), Georges Rousse is known for his photographs of anamorphoses. He deforms a space that he invests with a temporary work and plays with his image when he immortalizes it through a photograph. Here, it is not only a tribute to Matisse, through the colours chosen, the sensation of enlarged spaces and the play of light. But it is also a testimony to Georges Rousse's admiration for the American conceptual artist Sol Lewitt.
