Musée de la Vie Romantique
14 Feb → 13 Sep 2020
Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Closed on Monday.
You don't know what to do on February 14th? Need to win back your sweetheart? Enjoy a moment together... She blames you for not being romantic? We have a plan for you! Take her to see the Hearts exhibit at the Museum of Romantic Life. She'll be bluffed... The museum presents an unexpected selection of 40 works by thirty contemporary artists around the representation of the heart as an expression of the feeling of love, echoing one of the key themes of Romanticism. This exhibition aims to open the museum's programming beyond the 19th century by exploring the extensions of Romanticism in contemporary art, in resonance with its collections. The exhibition is divided into seven sections around a story of love and continues throughout the museum and the garden. In addition to the emblematic figures of Niki de Saint Phalle, Jim Dine, Annette Messager, Sophie Calle, Pierre et Gilles, Jean-Michel Othoniel and Françoise Pétrovitch, visitors will be able to discover some twenty other artists in this presentation. Exceptional free day from 10 am to 10 pm, for all art lovers, on February 14th, for Valentine's Day ...
