For Icy and Sot, two artist brothers, art is militant and committed. They translate this commitment in their works and in reality itself, thanks to the forms they use. Barbed wire, iron wire, old rusty shovels or oil cans, so many raw materials that allow them to take over beaches, streets or walls. They inhabit reality, which they divert and transfigure to give life to works of disconcerting poetry and fragility. Using this language, they highlight social realities - human rights and women's rights, the fate of refugees, climate change or even the excesses of capitalism - in order to better criticize them. Born in Iran, where they felt the risk of repression very early on, they are now constantly putting their creativity at the service of dialogue, seeing it as an opportunity to bring hope and reflection. The two brothers began to express themselves through stencils; today, their creations take various forms: painting, sculpture, installations.
