19 May → 5 Jul 2021
From Wed to Mon from 11 am to 7 pm. Nocturnal Thu until 9 pm. Closed Tue.
This is the first time for the Architecture and Heritage City Museum to host a contemporary art exhibition! The aim is to question and rethink the city and its representations through the work of seventy young Kinois artists. Kinshasa, in addition to being the Congolese capital, is the third most important city in Africa by its size. It is a rich and complex city, as well as the works presented are plural and innovative! Performance, sport, appearances, music, capital, spirit, resourcefulness, future and memory are all themes that artists are invited to address in different mediums. In all, nine chronicles are presented to us and show us the vision, life and feelings that the artists have towards Kinshasa.
