The famous comic book saga celebrates its 30th anniversary! To mark the occasion, the Cité de l'économie is hosting an exhibition tailor-made for the museum and presents the exciting life of the rich orphan. It was at his 26th birthday that Largo Winczlav, adopted by Nerio Winch, became the heir to a ten billion dollar financial empire. Between shenanigans and set-ups, the saga recounts the colourful adventures of the new rich man. The humorous and satirical comic strip is perfectly fluid and allows us to understand the basics of the economy. The exhibition plunges us into the world of high finance, between the intimate life of the character and the society that surrounds him. Much more than an exhibition, it is a real questioning of human and social relations, justice, ethical capitalism and happiness. Because in the end, is a rich man necessarily happy? This is the question that the authors and cartoonists, Jean Van Hamme and Philippe Francq, have tried to answer by writing this evolutionary saga. Largo Winch is a witness of the society in which he lives: technology, architecture, fashion... For Philippe Francq, "Details make perfection, and perfection is not a detail".
