Comme un parfum d'aventure is an exhibition organised in reaction to the current situation. For more than a year now, we have been stuck more than ever. Since the beginning of time, man has never stopped moving, travelling and exchanging. This is part of his nature and is even a universal freedom: Article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights guarantees freedom of movement. In addition to the health situation, many factors still hinder this fundamental freedom. Laws, governments, borders... The pandemic we experienced in 2020 made the whole world realise how vital this right is to us, while at the same time highlighting the social inequalities in mobility. The main theme of this exhibition is migration and displacement, whether it is voluntary or forced, group or individual, condemned or demanded. It is a temporal investigation through the collections of the macLYON and the Musée des Beaux-Arts with the primary intention of supporting French creation. Indeed, the artists presented are French, or even inhabitants of the Lyon region. Among them, Marina Abramović & Ulay, Eugène Boudin, Jean Dubuffet, Hans Hartung, Smaïl Kanouté, Henri Matisse, Claude Monet, Yoko Ono, Barthélémy Toguo and Erwin Wurm, but also Giulia Andreani, Zbyněk Baladrán, Fabienne Ballandras, Laura Ben Haïba and Rémi De Chiara, Christine Crozat, Chloé Serre, and many others...
