Marion Baruch's artistic practice has always revolved around the use of textiles. Here, we are talking about scraps of haute couture fabric from Milan. She wishes to return to the basics of artistic practice, namely colors, contrasts and shapes. Her latest pictorial compositions sometimes resemble sculpture and fully occupy the space of the gallery. The title of the exhibition refers to Francis Ponge's La fabrique du pré and accentuates the fragility of the image and the word. Just like these fabrics are! In addition, the classical size of some compositions are a light and ironic reference to the history of art. They are landscapes imagined in various forms that aim to revisit the sensitivity of the world around us. Because for Marion Baruch, art is a life experience in its own right.
