You're not dreaming, you're in a contemporary art gallery! Fruits, vegetables, plants and minerals mix to form natural carpets: halfway between painting and sculpture, these are the works of Piero Gilardi! Since the 60s, the Italian artist has been representing nature using industrial materials, notably polyurethane foam. Piero Gilardi dealt with the question of ecology well before anyone else. Protagonist of Arte Povera, the artist arranges industrial materials, glues and cuts them as he wishes to show us nature in its smallest details. His works are political and participative, allowing the spectator to understand the impact of man on the environment: tree trunks as seats, clothes, noises to listen to... Piero Gilardi's nature has a lot to give us!
