For Susana Solano, sculpture is first and foremost the result of meditation around a form in space, the sculptor's eternal preoccupation. But it must also be inhabited by a feeling, that of the force of intention. For the Spanish artist, this is the reason why each sculpture is a "journey through time". Her minimalist, geometrically shaped sculptures stand out in space, as immutable as the stainless steel she uses to make them. Producing few works, she considers that each of them must keep its resonance and work with time. Her objects transcend the physical sphere to bring us into a meditative state, where feeling is a predominant factor. The work then acts as a revelation of the experiences that may have passed through and marked us, which have produced a reservoir of acts, thoughts and emotions: these latter resurface in contact with art. Each in turn, Susana Solano's sculptures tend towards this introspection of the spectator.
