Randa Maroufi is a young French artist, graduated from the Fine Arts of Tetouan, Anger and Fresnoy. By staging bodies in the public space, she questions the status of images, which have become omnipresent in our hyper-connected society. The artist mixes mediums (photography, video and performance) to address the question in its entirety by adding characters and places she has created since the beginning of her career. Between contemporary art and cinema, Randa Maroufi's work speaks to us all. She also works with the digital by collecting images on the internet, criticizing social networks and the omnipresence of clichés. It is all about the construction of images and the manipulation of reality. The gallery Paris-Beijing presents here the practice of the young artist in the form of videos framed in light boxes. Not only does the artist occupy the space, but this is also what these mini-films are about: women come together and replace most of the men who usually gather on Boulevard de la Chapelle. Between fiction and documentary reality, "Les intruses" is a project carried by the Institute of Islamic Cultures aiming to make known the diversity of these cultures and show their dynamism in contemporary world creation.
