Let yourself be embarked on an original aesthetic proposal imagined by Gaël Charbau, curator of the 2018 edition of the Nuit blanche! "Exhibitions are born for thousands of reasons and one of them is [...] a matter of elective affinity. It is on this principle that Gaël Charbeau brings together in "Le Vaisseau d'Or" artists such as Bianca Bondi, Alice Guittard, Matthieu Haberard, Charlotte Heninger, Edward Kienholz, Benjamin Loyauté, Gaspard Maîtrepierre, Lucie Picandet, Niki de Saint Phalle and Daniel Spoerri, around the work of Gilles Barbier, "The Treasure Room II". An invitation to reverie, this exhibition is an experience. The idea is to forget about the subject matter and the exhibitions, of which galleries are very often slaves, in favour of the new aesthetic production that is born of the coexistence of different works. The mixed works become living beings that tell stories. In this way, the exhibition invites us to wander around and lets the spirit float from contradictory feelings into artistic achievements. Gaël Charbau thus highlights the astonishing and magical stimulation that can be born from our walks through the works, when we immerse ourselves totally in them and let our feelings overwhelm us. No guide, just us, and art.
