Extended until 29 September 2019, "The World of Banksy" is an immersive experience, through the main frescoes recreated, life-size, alongside paintings, that transports you to Banksy's universe. This original installation, closer to a presentation such as the Atelier des Lumières than an exhibition with original works, nevertheless shows the often powerful fights and successive provocations led by Bristol's mysterious artist. In this 1200m2 space, nearly a hundred works by the world star of street art are unveiled, which allow us to take the measure of his revolt to the surface. The route takes you to the Palestinian territories, New York, London and Paris. In a concrete setting, where we hear the buzzing of a helicopter (allusion to repression), the frescoes speak of innocence crushed by force, but also of acts of resistance or insolence against consumerism, the British monarchy, the Israeli occupation, etc. These are demands that the British artist continues to express.
