Every day from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. Nocturnal Friday until 8:30 pm.
Many of us spent our childhood reading, laughing and escaping for a few hours in the adventures of Asterix and Obelix. The Maillol Museum is devoting the first retrospective to the artist Alberto Uderzo. The exhibition highlights more than 300 drawings, plates, covers and documents through a museum tour curated by the artist's daughter, Sylvie Uderzo. At the heart of Alberto Uderzo's work is of course the character of Asterix. The adventures of the little Gaul, which represent almost 1,450 drawn plates, are thus at the heart of the exhibition. From realistic comics to humorous strips, Alberto Uderzo's work in all its diversity is highlighted here through the first retrospective devoted to his work. From reporter for the press to cartoonist, the artist's meeting with René Goscinny, the birth of mythical characters anchored in history: this exhibition offers an artistic journey all in drawing.
