Since the beginning of his career, Vincent Munier has accustomed us to a committed photography that observes the beauty and fragility of Nature. Through the vast wild spaces he has captured, the photographer has always defended the idea that it is up to man to adapt to his environment and not the other way around. A discourse that has never had as much resonance as it does today and that recalls the vision of Jean Giono (1895-1970) in some of his texts. In the manner of his counterpart Marcel Pagnol, the Manosquin writer wonderfully describes Provençal peasant life. Like him, Vincent Munier is passionate about sites that are still free from the hand of man. The exhibition, conceived with the Centre Giono and the Nuits Photographiques de Pierrevert, is the expression of the photographer's emotion towards the writer's texts through a selection of unpublished photographs.
