For its new exhibition, the Foundation presents "Yves Saint Laurent, Behind the scenes of haute couture in Lyon". The result of a close collaboration with the Musée des Tissus de Lyon, which hosted the exhibition in its spaces in November 2019, the exhibition highlights the privileged links maintained by the couturier during forty years of collaboration with the manufacturers and suppliers of fabrics and materials in the Lyon region. Yves Saint Laurent's universe and extraordinary talent are combined with the sublime fabrics of Lyon's emblematic houses. The whispering of muslins, the shimmering of shapely fabrics and the softness of velvets are revealed in this exhibition, which illustrates more than forty years of close and faithful collaboration in the service of creation. Through some thirty haute couture models accompanied by numerous and varied documents, the exhibition explores the designer's creative process in an original way.
